RESORT SPORTS CENTER RENOVATIONS – During winter 2018-19, the Sports Center underwent extensive renovations including a lobby remodel and reconfiguration, locker room renovation, new family and ADA restrooms, and interior paint and flooring updates throughout the facility. View photos of the renovated Sports Center here.
RIDGE SPORTS CENTER GYM RESERVATIONS – The Ridge Sports Center will be offering reservation times outside of regularly scheduled class and pickleball activities in order to better accommodate fluctuating demand and interest for recreational activities. All unscheduled gym times can be reserved in one-hour reservations–only one reservation per ownership, per day, please. Reservation windows open one week in advance of the date. Any unused reservations may cause the reserving owner to be restricted in making subsequent reservations. Reservations are for basketball or pickleball and clean court shoes are required in the gym (no street shoes, please!). One basketball half-court will remain open for basketball use every evening beginning at 6 pm in addition to weekends from 8-10am, with no reservation required. To make a reservation for pickleball or full-court basketball, call 541-923-9647 or stop by the Ridge Sports Center at 8100 Coopers Hawk Drive.
PICKLEBALL CLINICS – Eagle Crest residents are crazy for pickleball! The Ridge Sports Center has undergone several scheduling and space changes in an effort to accommodate the popular sport, including, most recently, a complete resurfacing of the Ridge Sports Center Gym to create two dedicated indoor pickleball courts (before and after pics here). In an effort to maximize usage of the indoor courts, the Ridge Sports Center added additional pickleball times as well as new pickleball clinics on Mondays and Wednesdays (see updated details listed in the schedule below). Beginning pickleball clinics (Mondays and Wednesdays 10:15am-2pm) are FREE to participants. These clinics offer basic lessons and drills for the first half, followed by court play for the remainder of the clinic. For our more seasoned pickleballers, “intermediate” and “advanced beginner” clinics are offered on Monday afternoons following the beginner’s clinic. The cost for advanced/intermediate clinics is $15 for owners, $20 for the general public. The clinics will serve a maximum of 16 students per clinic, so reservations are required at the Ridge Sports Center. Hone your skills at a clinic and show off on the court during the daily pickleball-only hours at the Ridge Gym! See the full calendar of activities for our sports centers for class times and locations.
